RED CROSS 'terrorism'
“An exhibition that was developed on request of the Belgian Red Cross, with the purpose to explain terrorism to children. It had to be a compact travelling show that would easily fit in the trunk of a car. We opted for an show that would entirely consist of suitcases. It fitted the theme, and it also allowed me to have it produced in Australia, where I was working at the time, and to take it back to Belgium on the plane, which finally proved to be an expensive exercise. We created six suitcases: one large suitcase containing a flat screen, a DVD player and multimedia devices and five smaller ones that could be spread on the ground. They each contained a puzzle that focused on a particular assault. Children had to complete these puzzles and soon forgot that they were part of an educational exercise.”
